How long does healing take?
Superficial wound healing is complete after 10–14 days. Swelling and tenderness settle over 4–6 weeks; the final scar appearance shows after 6–12 months.
Reduction of enlarged nipples or correction of inverted nipples — outpatient under local anaesthesia, 45–60 minutes. Personally by Dr. Anna M. Wagner, MD.

Enlarged, asymmetric or inverted nipples are a common concern. We also say clearly when surgery is not the right route.
The correction is performed under local anaesthesia, takes 45–60 minutes, and you go home the same day.
Reduction: nipple tissue is removed through a fine incision. The suture line sits at the border between nipple and areola and is barely visible once healed.
Inverted nipples: the shortened milk ducts are released so the nipple stays permanently in its natural position.
Depending on the technique, the ability to breastfeed can be preserved — this is clarified during the consultation.
